Making the most of producing facilities is all about utilising the capacity you have invested in to the maximum. However it is not always obvious what makes maximum financial return, as opposed to say fully utilising the compression system capacity.

Pöyry often address this issue as part of our support and have consequently developed a tool, Meascap, which greatly speeds the development and assessment of alternative schemes for producing additional fluids. Couple this with cost estimating of brownfield topsides modifications and all the information is there to run alternative economics to identify the optimum solution.

There may of course be question marks on the feasibility of a new development. The Pöyry engineer then has the option to call on in-house support to address flow assurance, system dynamic response or safety implications. Pöyry has the expertise and tools to assess such risks and confirm feasibility without requiring a complete design study, saving our clients time and costs.
