Process Assurance
Pöyry 's process
assurance team employs dynamic simulation technology to
assist clients in:
- Control system design, controller tuning,
and controllability analysis
- Management and minimisation of trips
- Operator training
Each study or simulator starts with validation of a dynamic
model of the process facility. For studies team of client and Pöyry
staff typically use the model to address the impact of process dynamics
on:
- Process and control equipment selection
- Controller tuning
- Trip settings and trip impacts
- Process economics
Developing an operator training simulator requires that Pöyry engineers
work with the client's training and instrumentation staff
to:
- Interface the model with the client's
DCS
- Develop training scenarios
- Train the trainers in the operation and
limitations of the system
- Provide ongoing development and maintenance
of the model and the training scenarios.
